For people interested in lawn bowling. Great way to enjoy the summer time, learn a new game, and meet new people!
Q: What is our main purpose?
A: To form a group of people who would be interested in lawn bowling (Pétanque, Bocce, Bowls).
Q: What experience is necessary?
A: None.
Q: What kind of equipment is necessary?
A: None. We have two complete sets of boulles (balls) to get the group going.
Q: What form of lawn bowling will we play?
A: Members showing interest will help decide, weighing the benefits of each version (Pétanque, Bocce, Bowls).
Q: Where will we play?
A: Wilmington area parks. Game are normally played on hard dirt or gravel, but can also be played on grass.
Q: How many people are needed?
A: A game can be played with as little as two people, or with teams of up to four people.
Q: How often will we play?
A: Regular games are Saturday mornings, practice games during the week.
Q: Age requirements?
A: 21+ (due to pre/post game suds at Scratch MaGoo's on Trolley Square)
